Quilt Basics
A beginner workshop to learn the basic of rotary cutting & sewing a 1/4" seam.
This class is a prerequisite to our quilting classes unless you are already
familiar with these techniques.
You may borrow the shop's equipment (rotary cutter, mat & ruler) FREE of CHARGE
for this class if you do not own it already. This is your chance to try quilting with out
the investment! With Cheryl.

Beginning Quiltmaking #1
A five week sampler series - the perfect follow up to Quilt Basics. You will learn
different piecing techniques, add sashing & borders, baste your quilt together and
apply binding. With Cheryl.

Finishing Workshops (Open Quilting)
Now's the time to take care of your unfinished quilt projects!!! Nothing to

Quilting Techniques Workshop
In this workshop, Cheryl will cover several techniques - machine quilting,
borders & binding & paper piecing. You choose the one to work on during the class.

Spinning Stars
Back by popular demand!!
Using log cabin blocks, you can create the spinning effect. This can be made
as a wall hanging or quilt.
We've divided the class into 2 sections. #1 will cover making the log cabin
blocks & strip units. #2 will cut the blocks, piece them together & add the
background pieces. It is not required that you take #1 as long as you come to #2
class with that work completed.

Raggie Quilt
Join Cheryl for this ever popular quilt. Using flannels & leaving the edge
raw makes this quilt extra snuggly.

Windows on the East Wall Hanging
This variation of the attic windows design uses a center panel. Absolutely
stunning! It's a bit tricky so we've presented the class in 2 sections. #1 is
optional as long as you have completed the required work for #2. A kit is also
available.

Fabric bags are all the rage. This one uses large grommets for a very trendy
look.

Watch the colors twist and weave in this quilt! It's a bit complicated but

Masquerade Quilt
Using a few Drunkard's Path blocks, you can create this stunning quilt. It's
a great way to try Drunkard's Path without being overwhelmed. With Cheryl.

This technique uses raw edge fabric (not bias tape) for a stained glass
window effect. With Cheryl.

Pre-Weekend Class
If you are making the Weaver Fever Quilt on the weekend & would like to have
help getting started, join us for this class to layout & sew strip sets. With

Beginning Sewing for Adults
A real beginner class offered at 2 levels with Eileen. The focus of the class is on
garment sewing but with the knowledge gained, you'll be able to also make home decor items

Doll Clothes Series
Kids ages 8 & up will make doll clothes using felt to fit the 18" dolls with
Eileen. Patterns will be provided.
Some sewing machine experience is suggested.
You may choose the dates to attend - it's not required to take all of the
classes.

class. After that time credit towards another class will be given if a replacement can be
found for your spot. We no longer will "pencil" you in for a class - you need to
pay the fee to sign up for a class. We accept Visa & Master Card over the phone or you
may mail a check. If we need to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, refunds
will be made.
A 10% discount is given on all regular price class supplies.
Just For You Class
We will be happy to schedule a class you - 3 person minimum.

Clubs & Classes
These series of classes are designed for owners of Pfaff
sewing machines and sergers.
You should be familiar with the basic operation of your machine. The new owner's class is
a suggested prerequisite.
If you own another brand of machine, you are welcome to join us.
Please bring your manual with you. Fees may differ.
Pfaff Serger Club
Every month, we will make a project using a different technique on your
serger. With Eileen.
4rd Wednesday of the Month

Supplies:
1 fat quarter cotton fabric (or 2 fat quarters if you want a contrast lining)
1/4 yard fusible fleece
4 threads to match or coordinate
Regular serger supplies & manual.
Bring scraps to test your stitches.
New Owners Classes
The following classes are available at no charge to those of you who have
purchased Pfaff machines from Style Fabrics. Other brands of machines made join
us if there is room in the class (fee is $50 each - please bring your manual).

Grand Quilter & Embroidery Machines
At present, we are offering classes for these machines by appointment. Please
contact me for a time that is convenient.

Quilting Weekend With Style
Join us for a fun weekend of quilting with friends at the Interlaken Inn in Lakeville, CT.
We will arrive on Friday March 19 and stay until Sunday March 21, 2010. Our complete
quilting weekend package includes 2 nights accommodations, 2 dinners, 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts,
SNACKS and continuous beverage service (bring your own wine!). Cheryl will
be teaching for 11 hours total and will offer 2 choices of quilts. We will have access to
our quilting room round the clock!
Double occupancy: $429.00 per person
Single Occupancy: $559.00 per person
$50 deposit will hold your spot & may be refunded until October1, 2009.
A further payment schedule & class projects will be announced at a later date.
