Sewing Tips |
Use Fray Check to seal up buttonholes. Once you've established the correct size, dab the buttonhole with Fray Check before cutting. This will eliminate all those little threads. If you're afraid of soaking the fabric, for more control, use a toothpick to apply Fray Check.
Don't skip that understitching! Even though we're all always short on
time, understitching is actually a time saver! After attaching your
facing & trimming & clipping the seam allowance, open up the facing & place
right side up on your sewing machine. Making sure that the seam allowance is laying
towards the facing, sew through the facing & seam allowance very close to the seam
line. Understitching will keep the facing from rolling out & will
make pressing easier & faster!
